Depuis ma plus tendre enfance, la nature a été mon refuge, mon observatoire, bref, mon élément naturel.

La structure cachée de la nature et les formes dont elle s’enveloppe ont toujours exercé sur moi une attraction magnétique.

Ma carrière, commencée dans le dessin animé aux studios BELVISION, s’est poursuivie et terminée dans l’illustration scientifique au Musée Royal de l’Afrique Centrale, Tervuren (Belgique). Rendue à la liberté, je peux enfin donner libre cours à ma créativité artistique.

Les techniques employées sont mixtes. Les peintures et les sculptures-modelage représentent en général des scènes de douceur sauvage, des attitudes d’animaux aux aguets, en migration, ou encore les pauses somnolentes de certains d’entre eux.

C’est une re-création, qui s’élabore dans mon espace intérieur et invite le spectateur à extérioriser ses émotions. C’est un rapport d’âme à âme. L’œuvre touche à l’essence de l’être, c’est alors que le but est atteint.

C’est la trace de mon passage. C’est un hymne à la vie. 

Since my childhood, nature has been my refuge, my observatory, in short, my natural element.
The hidden structure of nature and the forms which it wraps have always exerted a magnetic pull on me.
My career started in the cartoon studios Belvision, continued and completed in scientific illustration at the Royal Museum for Central Africa, Tervuren (Belgium). Restored to liberty, I can finally unleash my artistic creativity.
The techniques used are mixed. The paintings and sculptures generally represent scenes of wild sweetness, attitudes of animals on the alert, migrating, or sleepy breaks for some of them.


This is a re-creation, which is elaborated in my inner space and invites the viewer to externalize their emotions. This is a report from soul to soul. When the work touches the essence of being, that is when the goal is reached.

This is definitely something very different :)
And I will never be able to find the right picture to present them...because they are ALL about WORDS!
 - So, read below!

Les Liseuses Fabuleuses is a literary voice club revolving around Anne-Marie Segers, Wim Goossens, Kim Verthé, Isabel Voets and Carla Rosseels. The initiative was started in 2011, and was inspired by the Viennese and Parisian literary salons, as well as the film La Lectrice, about a woman who earns a living reading to people in their homes.

Les Liseuses Fabuleuses will read in all word-friendly places: offices, on promenades along the Belgian coast, in libraries, museums, cafes, on CD/DVD, in the poetry taxi. They offer packages around motley themes such as love, coffe and eternal youth, but will gladly compile new packages.

Literature is the stuff of everyday life, like eating bread and brushing teeth, which is why Les Liseuses and ist voices opt for accessible and flowing poems. All Liseuses are professionally involved with words. New at Les Liseuses are the poetry installationrentals.

So far, Les Liseuses Fabuleuses have read in Antwerp, Brussels, Gent, Ostend, Bruges, Holland, Madrid, Barcelona… But also for Flemish TV programmes such as Man Bijt Hond, on TV channel Vitaya and in supermarkets. Les Liseuses have worked and still work with, amongst others, literary organizers Behoud De Begeerte, Passa Porta International Literature Brussels, Stichting Lezen, Creatief Schrijven, Antwerpen Averechts, Fundacion Carlos de Amberes.

Stemmen. Ronde, warme, zachte stemmen. Wapperende stemmen. En dan woorden. Blote, onvervalste, mooie woorden. Gedichten die je naar adem doen happen. Verhalen die blijven plakken in je hoofd. Dat is het speelterrein van Les Liseuses Fabuleuses, een literaire stemmenclub, geïnspireerd door de romantische salons in Wenen en Parijs, en door de film La lectrice.

En wat is dan wel de bedoeling? Uw bibliotheek, museum, tuinfeest, bedrijfsevenement of festival versieren met themalezingen, al dan niet met live-muziek. Kant-en-klare lezingen of maatwerk – aan u de keuze. Misschien gaat u voor de Poëzietaxi of voor een poëzie-installatie – alles kan.

Food for the soul – voor minder doen we het niet. Taalplezier van de bovenste plank.

Welcome: Isabelle Schnock

A gymnast making clay dance

Isabelle is a trained gymnast, and an autodidact sculptor; finding her inspiration in dance, acrobatics, and wherever movement is found!

Her latest passion is 'raku' – the Japanese technique – which means 'joy, spantaneity, and good fortune in the random'... For her a creative process where defects, risks, and at times shocks, are researched, in her 'attempt to express the history of the elements of earth, fire, and water, and what can be the beauty of life's unpredictability.'

Sa formation de prof de gym transpire dans son travail : transmettre une émotion par le mouvement des corps féminins. Autodidacte, elle puise son inspiration dans la danse, le cirque, la nature ou simplement … la vie. 

La cuisson "Raku" est sa dernière passion : c’est un procédé créatif permettant des formes abstraites et pures où les défauts, les chocs et les risques sont recherchés, pour exprimer l’histoire de la terre, du feu et de l’eau, ainsi que la beauté et l'imprévisibilité de la vie.

D’ailleurs, le mot Raku en japonais signifie : joie, spontanéité et bonheur dans le hasard…

In my heart lies a memory to tell the stars above

Cucumbers - to me, the slightly unwelcome addition to the top of some lettuce leaves...whoever thought you could make them into a splendid salad on their own?!

Well, thats what happened yesterday while visiting Ruth Stoltmann. An elderly lady now living in Alness who has had an amazing life journey. She grew up near Leipzig, the daughter of very successful restaurant owners (she still owns a few plates that they used) She was only 10 when war broke out  and remembers quite clearly fleeing the Allied soldiers who destroyed their whole village. After the war she came to Scotland as an au pair (where she met her late Polish husband Dominik) and settled in the Highlands having lived for a time at Kindeace. She also happens to be the mother of Sabine Cross - who made homemade bread for us a number of weeks ago.
Gurkin Salat - as its known in German - is quite special, delicious with fish, and another welcome addition to our cookbook!

Think we maybe have 5 or 6 recipes to go but we're not complaining! - FIN

Cucumbers - to me, the slightly unwelcome addition to the top of some lettuce leaves...whoever thought you could make them into a splendid salad on their own?!
