1. Be first with a purpose. Many employees, managers and business owners are the first to arrive. This is great, but what are you doing with that time? Get your ideas organized? Browse your e-mails? Do something worthwhile for the company instead of focusing on your own thing.

I was very disappointed, but later I was selected as one of the process improvement team in our company because of my deep insight. Thanks to my side project, I stood out and became a lucky one. The same applies to any business owner. Your customers will appreciate your efforts when you think about providing a new method or service for a special client. Meeting their needs better without question, your business will become a "kind of business".
4. Facts speak louder than words. Lots of people take verbal stands. Few take a stand and work hard for their ideas.For example, something goes wrong with your project. Jump in and have it fixed instead of addressing its shortcomings to show how smart you are. Everyone is discussing the problem, but only those who help to fix it can stand out from the crowd.
5. Show a little of your personal side. Personal interest can make others recognize and remember you. This a great advantage for new employees or a company in the fierce competition.Just make sure that your personal interest won't take away your professional glory. Let people know something about you, like personal details that can add color and depth to your professional image.
6. Work harder than everyone else. Nothing -- nothing is a substitute for hard-working. Look around, how many people are working hard? Almost no. Working harder than anyone else is the best way to stand out. This is the most simple way, because you are the only one in trying.
